In addition to last years insert on the “cafe del mar” ‘dreams’ compilation album,
this year sees Hibiki Connection’s original track, Cha-ka-too (sunset mix)
included in the line up of the “Real Ibiza 7” compilation
album. This makes Hibiki Connection the first Japanese unit to be included on
the top two albums from the European dance capital, Ibiza.

The popular Spanish Island, Ibiza, is a summer hot spot for clubbers in Europe.
Cafe Del Mar is a bar in San Antonio, Ibiza, which is famous for its remarkable
views of the most spectacular sunsets in Europe. Complimented with the soothing
tunes played by DJ’s from around the globe, this bar is a favourite amongst all
clubbers.
DJ Bruno is the resident DJ at Cafe Del Mar and also compiles the compilation
albums.

Cha-ka-too (Yonama beach mix) appears on the “Private Lounge Vol.
5” French compilation, compiled by Marc Ricci who is renowned for his Dj sets
at Hotel Costes, a designer hotel in Paris. The same track also appears on “Caipirinha
Mix” released by Germany’s big label ZYX Music.
HOTEL COSTES
Hotel Costes is a famous trendy hotel, popular amongst jet setters, designers
and the like. Aside from being a celebrity hotel, Hotel Costes also boasts a famous
restaurant and produces compilation albums which are big sellers in the French

"Hibiki Connection" PROFILE
Hibiki Connection, established in 2002 are, pictured left, DJ Vanne and pictured
right, Atsushi Shimomura.
Within six months of working together as a musical unit, Hibiki signed to "Khaimar
Music" a management company in New Jersey and so starts the musical journey
of Hibiki!!!
Thanks to Marcel @ Khaimar, in MARCH 2004, Hibiki's debut single 'CHA-KA-TOO'
will be released worldwide by the Swedish label, Deeplay
music. Despite the fact that the single has not yet been released and only
promotional copies of the CD are in distribution, CHA-KA-TOO's Yonama
beach mix has already topped No.1 in Bruno's (Resident DJ @ Cafe Del Mar,
Ibiza,) chart for June 2003.

has also been noted in Ronnie Scott's (London's most notable Jazz Club) monthly
magazine, and what's more recently DJ Roger Sachez has been known to play CHA-KA-TOO
on prime time UK radio station, GALAXY FM!!!!!

DJ VANNE
Nursery rhymes were replaced with rock and pop music in DJ Vanne's childhood as
he accompanied his father selling logs across Scandanavia, Canada and The Far
East. He was heavily influenced from an early age as he was constantly listening
to rock and pop from his fathers car. By the time Vanne had reached the age of
9 he was regularly frequenting import record shops in Japan and checking the US
and UK music charts on a day to day basis. When he reached 14, under a heavy influence
from Jelly Bean, Vanne was already getting excited with the pause button on his
cassette tape deck as he created his own style master mixes.
At 27, Vanne opened FAI, which 6 years on still holds it's own in the club scene
in Tokyo, praised by the likes of Herbie Hancock, Hex Hector and US3, Fai is the
club where you can enjoy Vanne's roots of Soul, Dance, Jazz and house, dance classics
and rock, without losing the pace of todays music scene.
Atsushi
Shimomura
Atsushi Shimomura discovered The Beatles, Earth Wind & Fire and Prince, as well
as classical music, through his aunt’s collection. At the age of 12, he discovered
the Manchester movement, notably the Stone Roses, and taught himself how to play
guitar and compose. He went on to study piano, drums and bass guitar. Discovering
Johnny Mahr of The Smiths inspired Atsushi to refine his skills as a composer
and arranger. After hearing Meat Beat Manifesto and Bomb the Bass, Atsushi knew
he had to become a producer.
